VII. E-TTL Auto Flash System with Canon Speediite 380EX

Normal Flash Operation

H Set the Command Dial to a picture-

* taking mode except DEP.

• If DEP (Depth-of-fieid AE) is set and flash

is used, it will be the same as using flash
in the Program AE mode.

p Turn on Speedlite 380EX’s power

^ switch.

Q Slide Speedlite 380EX’s FP fiash

switch to the green dot.

^ Press the shutter button halfway
^ and focus the subject.

The E-TTL indicator lights.

In the viewfinder, check that the ^

symboi,

shutter

speed,

and

aperture setting are displayed.

Then press the shutter button
completely to take the picture.

The A-TTL mode is not available

when Speedlite 380EX is used with
this camera.
