Focusing Off-Center Subjects
If you want to focus an off-center subject not covered by the wide AF frame
[
], follow the AF-lock procedure below.
Aim the wide AF frame on the
subject, then press the shutter
button haifway to focus.
• The in-focus indicator (•) will light in
the viewfinder.
Keep pressing the shutter button
haifway and recompose the
picture as desired.
Press the shutter button
compieteiy to take the picture.

Using the center AF frame for focusing
After pressing the shutter button halfway, you can press the <*> button to
achieve focus and the correct exposure with the center AF frame. This is
effective for pinpoint focusing. See page 45.
