Poor picture quality or no picture
If you are receiving only a few stations, for example, stations 100, 267, and
999, call your service provider(s) to have your programming activated.
Make sure your Access Card is inserted properly into the Digital Satellite
Receiver (see page 13).
Run the System Test to make sure your system is working properly (see
page 28).
Check the Satellite Dish Antenna's signal strength (see page 23).
Check the connections to your TV (and other components). Refer to the
Satellite Dish Anterma Installation/Operating Instructions and see pages 7-
13 of these Operating Instructions.
Make sure your TV (and other equipment) is set to the input source (channel
3, channel 4, VIDEO 1, etc.) to which you connected the Digital Satellite
Receiver (see pages 9 and 10).
Some pay per view programs may be protected by Macrovision copy
protection at the discretion of the copyright owner. Make sure the Digital
Satellite Receiver is connected directly to your TV.
Make sure the RG-6 coaxial cable is properly connected to the Satellite Dish
Antenna's LNB. If the Signal Seeker is not flashing when the Antenna
display appears, you may need to replace the RG6 coaxial cable. See your
Satellite Dish Antenna Installation/Operating Instructions for information.
If you connected a local TV off-air antenna to the UHF/VHF IN jack of the
Digital Satellite Receiver, distortion could occur if the CH3/CH4 switch on
the back of the Digital Satellite Receiver is set to a channel that normally
broadcasts in your area. Set the CH3/CH4 switch to the other position (3 or
4), whichever one is not broadcasting in your area.
Avoid placing antenna wires above your Digital Satellite Receiver.
If the cable distance between the Satellite Dish Antenna and Digital Satellite
Receiver is more than 100 feet, you must use the Sony brand Amplifier EAC-
DAl.
