Symptom Cause Corrective actions
The picture is noisy. The video heads may be contaminated. Clean the heads using the Sony V8-
25CLH video head cleaning cassette. For
details on cleaning, see page 48.
No function except for
cassette ejection works.
Moisture condensation has occurred.

Remove the cassette and leave the unit
for at least an hour.
The date indication inside
the viewfinder blinks.
The lithium battery is not installed. Install the lithium battery.
