1.REMOVAL OF THE STOCK MANIFOLDS

With the following proceedure please also refer to the official service manual for more detailed explanations.

1. Disconnect the car battery's negative terminal.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the air cleaner and air duct.
4. Remove the under cover.
5. Remove the rear O2 Sensor connectors. *Take care with not getting the left and right side connectors

confused. Mark them if it helps.

6. Remove the bracket between the transmission and both catalytic converters.
7. Remove the Catalytic Converters.
8. Remove the front O2 connectors
9. Remove the radiator drain plug and radiator cap to empty the radiator of coolant (LLC).

10. Remove the left and right water and heater pipes located above the exhaust manifold.
11. Remove the exhaust manifold covers.
12. Remove the steering lower joint.

Check for the steering wheel is straight and lined
correctly. You check and mark the shaft with a
paint pen before removing the steering shaft.

After removing the steering wheel shaft be sure
not to turn the steering so not to make a gap.

There is a risk of damaging the airbag cable
and the VDC so please be careful as it can
cause an accident.

13. Remove the Exhaust Manifold.
