クランクベアリングキャップは、高回転、高負荷時のクランクシャフトの曲げや、
ねじり振動にも耐え、強固にベアリングを固定して厳密にメタルクリアランスを確保する必要があります。
但し、一般のボルト-ナットでの結合では、その特性上どんな高強度ボルトを用いても、
締め付け力がネジの第１山から３山に集中し、トータルの締め付け力はある値以上に増やせません。
また、過大な応力がそこに集中し破損することもあります。スタッドボルト式では、
ネジの力学的設計からネジ山全てで締め付け力を分担し、強大な締め付け力を発生させます。

The Main bearing caps will be enduring high stress loads during high engine speeds. It is vital to
maintain the correct clearances with the main bearings, from the harmonics of the crankshaft,
during high stress loads, torsion twists and from vibrations. With the added stress concentrated in
a smaller area, will allow the bolts to break easily. The Stud Bolt systems tightening powered is
determined by how the clamp force is evenly spread across the entire thread.
