6. Connect the 12V DC power cable to the system board.
7. Connect the chassis fan cable to the system board.
8. Connect all front panel and FlexBay device cables to the system board.
9. Connect all the data cables from the CD/DVD/hard drives to the system board.
10. If the system board is being replaced with a system board different from the one removed:
a. Install the memory modules onto the system board (see Replacing or Adding a Memory Module ).
b. Install the processor onto the system board (see Replacing the Processor ).
a. Install the processor heat sink assembly (see Replacing the Processor Heat Sink Assembly ).
11. Connect additional cables to the system board as required.
12. Connect the 24-pin DC power cable to the system board.
13. Install all PC cards into the computer slots.
14. Check all cable connections throughout the computer chassis to ensure that they are secure.
15. Perform the steps in the procedure After Working on Your Computer .
16. Verify that your computer works correctly by running the Dell Diagnostics. See your Setup and Quick Reference Guide for help with Dell Diagnostics.
