CAUTION:

For precautions on safely handling and using your Expansion Station and preventing

electrostatic discharge, see the safety instructions in the D/Dock Expansion-Station Setup Guide.

Other Documents Available

Documentation updates, which are sometimes included with your expansion station to describe changes to the

expansion station or software. Always read the updates before consulting any other documentation, because the

updates often contain the latest information.

Documentation included with any options you purchase separately from your expansion station. The documentation

includes information that you need to configure and install the options in your expansion station.

Overview

NOTE:

Alert your network administrator before you connect the expansion station to a network.

The Dell D/Dock Expansion Station is a full docking device that supports Dell D-Family portable computers and modules.

When docked to the expansion station, the computer only runs on electrical power and not battery power. Any battery

installed in the computer is charged while you are using the expansion station.

CAUTION:

Do not block, push objects into, or allow dust to accumulate in the air vents. Doing so can

damage the expansion station or cause a fire.
