System Requirements: Intel® FCoE/DCB User Guide
Before installing Intel® Server Adapters and Intel® Ethernet FCoE Protocol Driver, check your system for the following
minimum configuration requirements.
System Hardware Compatibility for Network Adapters
Supported Intel® Network Adapters
Supported 32-bit Operating Systems
Supported Intel® 64 Architecture Operating Systems
System Hardware Compatibility for Network Adapters
An FCoE-capable Intel® 82599- or X540-based Network Adapter. A list of supported Intel Server Adapters can be found
below in Supported Intel® Network Adapters.
One of the following slot types, depending on your adapter:
A PCI Express slot (v1.0a or newer), x4, x8 or x16
The latest BIOS for your computer.
FCoE requires at least 4GB of RAM for optimum performance.
10Gb network connection

Intel® Gigabit 4P I350 bNDC
NOTE: When using FCoE Boot with an Intel networking adapter, a Brocade Host Bus Adapter (HBA) must not be
installed in the system.
Intel® FCoE is not supported on the following adapters:
Intel® Gigabit ET Dual Port Server Adapter
Intel® Gigabit ET Quad Port Server Adapter
Intel® Ethernet X520 10GbE Dual Port KX4 Mezz
Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter X520-T2
Intel® Gigabit 4P X520/I350 rNDC
Intel® Gigabit 4P X540/I350 rNDC
Intel® Gigabit 4P I350-t Mezz
