Steps 7 -9
7) Under the hood locate an area ahead of the radiator which will have good air flow from in front of the
car and clip the Ambient Temperature Sensor (Figure F), the sensor may have a protective cap which
must be removed at time of installation for accurate reading.

8) Route the sensor cable from the sensor and into the cabin area. We recommend that you use an
existing grommet and to avoid drilling through the firewall as their may be components/ harnesses and
they could easily be damaged (Figure G).

9) Once inside the cabin route the cable up the A-pillar and insert into the mirror harness in locations 6
& 7 (this is a resistance based system and so there is no + or –, the wires can go into either cavity)
(Figure H)

Calibration:
10) Once all connections have been made and the vehicle has been reassembled the mirror will display
CAL on the LCD when the key is turned on stating that you must calibrate the system (Figure I).

11) Using Figure J locate your appropriate zone and perform the following steps:

11a) Press the Right button until “ZONE” appears on the screen and release.
11b) press the Right button repeatedly until the appropriate zone is displayed after 3 seconds of

no button activity the zone will be stored.

11c) While the system is setup to automatically calibrate during normal driving you can speed up

the process by driving the vehicle to an open/ safe area and slowly driving in a circle until the “CAL”
letters disappear.
