6 – Forward speed and application rate per
hectare
The speed of operation is strongly influenced by the
capacity of the pneumatic system.
In effect, the greater the application rate per
hectare, the more the forward speed should be
limited to allow the air to handle the quantity of
seed distributed by the fluted rollers
In all cases, a transfer of seed into the air
distribution box funnels is not normal.
Check first of all that the pipes are clean (check for
clogging) and flowing freely (esp. at the low point)
then if transfer persists, limit your forward speed.
