Installation:
1. Park the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface with the front tires / wheels pointing
straight forward.
2. Set the emergency brake & block the rear tires / wheels.
3. Install the new Skyjacker main bracket “A” against the outside of the frame & new Skyjacker
backing plate on the inside of the frame using the supplied bolts through the new backing plate,
through the slotted holes in the frame, & new main bracket. (See Photo # 1)
4. Install the new Skyjacker bracket "B" using the supplied u-bolts, washers, & nuts. (See Photo # 1)
Note: Do not tighten at this time.
5. Attach the shaft end of the new Skyjacker steering stabilizers to the new bracket "A" & the body
end to the new bracket “B”. (See Photos # 1 & # 2)
Note: Due to the close fit of the u-bolts to the
OEM tie rod, it requires you to install them at the end of the tie rod that is threaded & slide them
up to the point they will be used.
6. Extend the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer shafts out 4”(exactly half way) & rotate the new
bracket "B" as needed to obtain the best position. Tighten all hardware securely at this time.
Note: Models with a front sway bar will need to move bracket “A” back (away from sway bar)
until clearance of the sway bar is obtained.
