Skyjacker DS220 - Manual

Installation:
1. Park the vehicle on level ground,
set the emergency brake, & block
the front tires / wheels.
2. Raise the driver side of the
vehicle. Remove the front tire /
wheel & OEM shock at the lower
mount.
3. Position the new Skyjacker upper
mount at the rear of the OEM
spring tower. (See Photo # 1)
Align the new upper mount so the
top of the mount is parallel to the
ground & the two holes can be
drilled into the spring tower. Drill
the two holes into the upper
spring tower & mount the bracket in place. Install the new Skyjacker shock into the new upper
shock bracket. Note: If you prefer, you may weld the bracket in place.
4. Install the bottom of the shock using the supplied 1/2" x 5 1/2" bolt. Place a 1/2” washer on the
bolt before putting it through the first shock. Insert the bolt through the outside shock, install a
washer, spacer, & then another washer. Push the bolt through the OEM shock bracket, shock, &
radius arm. Install a washer & nut, then tighten.
5. Repeat the above steps on the passenger side.
6. Once all shocks are installed, check all components for proper clearance. Retorque all hardware
after the first 100 miles & periodically there after.
NOTE: THE STEERING STOPS MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF
THIS DUAL SHOCK KIT TO AVOID INTERFERENCE WITH THE SHOCK WHEN YOU TURN
FULL LEFT OR FULL RIGHT.

Important Note: This dual shock kit is to be used with the OEM radius arms. If
your vehicle is equipped with aftermarket radius arms, do not install this dual
shock kit.
