Dual Front Shock Kit

Installation Instructions

Part # DS350

NOTE: CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE DRILLING ANY HOLES IN THE FRAME. SOME

MODELS MAY REQUIRE REROUTING OF THE FUEL LINE, VENT HOSES, ETC. SOME

TRUCKS MAY REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF THE MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELDS FOR

CLEARANCE.

Installation:

1. Park the vehicle on flat level ground, set the emergency brake, & block the front tires / wheels.

2. Raise one side of the vehicle at the front & remove the tire / wheel. Support the front axle on jack

stands & remove the nuts & washers from the outside spring u-bolt. To facilitate access &

clearance it may be desirable to remove the rubber mud shields from the inner fender panels.

3. Place the bottom mount over the u-bolt with the upright of the mount angled towards the inside of

the vehicle & re-install the u-bolt nuts & tighten to 85-90 ft. lbs.

4. Bolt your new shock absorber (not provided) to the bottom bracket with the 5/8" x 3" bolt, having

the bolt head & shock towards the outside of the vehicle & nut towards the inside of the vehicle.

Secure with one washer between the bolt head & the shock.

5. Position the top mount against the frame with the 90 degree return resting on the top of the

frame. The shock & the mount should be vertical, or angled slightly towards the rear (not critical).

Mark & drill four holes for 7/16" bolts through the top of the bracket & top of the frame & bolt in

place. **SEE ABOVE NOTE**

Fasten the top of the shock to the top mount with a washer on either side of the shock, then the

9/16" spacer between the shock & the mount.

6. Repeat the above steps for the opposite side of the vehicle.
