NOTE: THE STEERING STOPS MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THIS DUAL SHOCK
KIT TO AVOID INTERFERENCE WITH THE SHOCK WHEN YOU TURN FULL LEFT OR FULL RIGHT.
Installation:
1. Set the emergency brake, raise the front of the vehicle, & support with jack stands on the frame.
2. Remove the front tires / wheels & both front shocks.
3. Install the bottom of the shocks by taking one ½" x 5 ½" bolt, put a flat washer on the bolt, slide
through the bottom of the shock, then through the OEM bracket with a 1 ½" spacer in between,
through the second shock, then slide on another flat washer, ½" nut, & hand tighten.
4. Install the top of the shock by placing a ½" x 6 ½" bolt through the hole of the new bracket, then
through the top of the first shock, then slide a ½" spacer on, then slide the bolt through the OEM
bracket on the frame, then through the second shock, through the frame, attach a flat washer, ½"
nut & hand tighten.
5. Position by holding the new bracket in place against the frame. Drill two holes through the bracket
into the frame. NOTE: The brakelines are routed behind the frame so take care when drilling so
they are not cut. Some applications may need re-routing of the brakelines.
6. Use the supplied ½" x 1 ½" bolts, washers, nuts & tighten.
7. Go back over & tighten all bolts.
8. Repeat the above steps for the opposite side of the vehicle. Retighten all bolts after the first 100
miles & periodically there after.
