installation:
1. Park the vehicle on a level
concrete or asphalt surface with
the front tires / wheels pointing
straight forward.
2. Set the emergency brake &
block the rear tires / wheels.
3. Install the new Skyjacker boots onto the new Skyjacker
steering stabilizers using the supplied plastic ties.
4. Install the new Skyjacker axle bracket under the axle using the
supplied u-bolts, washers, & nuts. (See Photo # 1)
5. Attach the two new Skyjacker P-932 straight studs to the new
axle bracket & mount one end of the new steering stabilizers
to each stud & tighten.
6. Pull the new steering stabilizers out 4 3/4" (exactly halfway). The center to center eye length will
be 19" when the new steering stabilizers are 1/2 way out.
7. Install the new Skyjacker tie rod end brackets using the supplied u-bolts, washers, & nuts. When
mounted both tie rod brackets extrude forward & to the passenger side (See Photo # 2)
Note:
Use the wider u-bolts on the driver’s side tie rod bracket.
8. Install a new P-932 straight stud to each new tie rod bracket & mount one end of the new steerin
stabilizers to each stud & tighten..
9. Cycle the tires / wheels fully to the left & right to make sure the steering stabilizers are adjusted
properly & that all brackets are secure. Check for clearance between all moving parts.
Final Notes:
• After the installation is complete, double check that all nuts & bolts are tight. Refer to the following
chart for the proper torque specifications. (Do not retighten the nuts & bolts where thread lock
compound was used.)
• Cycle the steering of the vehicle left to right & check all parts for adequate clearance.
• After the first 100 miles, check all of the hardware for the proper torque & periodically thereafter.
