installation:
1. Park the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface with the front tires / wheels pointing
straight forward.
2. Set the emergency brake & block the rear tires / wheels.
3. Place the new Skyjacker straight frame bracket against the inside of the passenger side frame
directly above the drag link.
Note: There may be a rubber frame shield, which is clipped at this
spot. If so, pull the shield at the corner & it should come loose.
4. Mark, center punch, & drill the two mounting holes in the frame using a 3/8" drill bit.
Note: Move
any hoses or lines that may get in the way of drilling as not to damage them during the drilling
process.
5. Install the new Skyjacker frame bracket using the supplied 3/8" x 3 1/2" bolt, washers, & nuts.
Reconnect frame shield.
6. Install the supplied boot & plastic tie onto the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer. Mount the new
Skyjacker angled bracket to the drag link (this is the link going to the pitman arm), loosely, using
the supplied u-bolts, washers, & nuts.
7. Attach the body end of the new Skyjacker steering stabilizer to the new main bracket using the
supplied bushings, washers, & nut. Pull the steering stabilizer shaft out 4" & attach the new
steering stabilizer to the new angled bracket using the supplied bushings, washers, & nut. Tighten
the new angled bracket.
Final Notes:
• After the installation is complete, double check that all nuts & bolts are tight. Refer to the following
chart for the proper torque specifications. (Do not retighten the nuts & bolts where thread lock
compound was used.)
• Cycle the steering of the vehicle left to right & check all parts for adequate clearance.
• After the first 100 miles, check all of the hardware for the proper torque & periodically thereafter.
