16. Install a new Skyjacker strut coil spring spacer on the top of each
OEM strut assembly housing. (See Photo # 10)
17. Install an OEM strut coil spring washer on the top of each new
Skyjacker strut coil spring spacer.
18. Install the OEM struts into the OEM strut assembly housings to where
they are seated firmly against the previously installed Skyjacker lower
stut body spacers & tighten the pinch bolts on the OEM strut assembly
housings using a 13mm wrench. (See Photo # 11)
19. Install the previously compressed OEM strut coil springs onto the
OEM struts & install the OEM upper strut retaining hardware using a
3/8" wrench & 19mm wrench. (See Photo # 12)
20. Install the OEM struts assemblies into the upper frame mounts &
install the OEM upper strut mount retaining hardware using a 3/8"
wrench & 19mm wrench. (See Photo # 13)
21. Install the OEM brake line retaining clamps to the OEM strut assembly
housings using a 13mm wrench. (See Photo # 14)
22. Install the front tires / wheels using a 19mm socket & lower the front
of the vehicle to the ground.
Final Notes:
• After the installation is complete, double check that all nuts & bolts
are tight. Refer to the following chart for the proper torque
specifications. (Do not retighten any nuts & bolts where thread lock
compound was used.)
• With the vehicle placed on the ground, cycle the steering lock to
lock & inspect the steering, suspension, brake lines, front & rear
drivelines, fuel lines, & wiring harnesses for proper operation,
tightness, & adequate clearance.
• Have a qualified alignment center align
the vehicle to the OEM specifications.
• After the first 100 miles, check all
hardware for the proper torque &
periodically thereafter.
