4 Transmitter Range
External transmitters
The radio frequency is also available to other users. External transmitters can transmit on the
same frequency. If, for example, the transmitter and an external transmitter transmit their radio
telegrams at the same time then the telegram is destroyed. Because the transmitters are not
able to check their own active transmission while transmitting, no error is detected.
Electrical devices
In a rough industrial environment wireless telegrams can be destroyed by such things as fre-
quency converters, electrical welding equipment, poorly-shielded PCs, audio/video devices,
electronic transformers, electronic ballasts, etc.
Error fade out
The radio transmission timeout parameter on the receiver can be used to fade out lost tele-
grams (either by external influence or collisions caused by a large number of probes) and no
error message occurs. As a result, the value that is received last is retained over 2 to 10 trans-
mission intervals and only then will the alarm radio transmission timeout be activated (indicated
by "----" in the LCD display of the receiver).

In the event of collisions caused by an excessive number of transmitters, observe and, if nec-
essary, correct the factors "number of transmitters", "transmission intervals" and, on the re-
ceiver, "radio transmission timeout".
