Demounting
Always review nicks and scratches with owners of
these wheel and tire combinations prior to servicing.
1. Deflate tire completely by removing the valve
core from the valve stem.
1.1 Position the valve stem at the bead loosener on
the front side as shown; this tire will only loosen first
at this position because of the rim style (see below)
which is assymetrical.
Note: Notice the two features of the wheel, the short
side and the drop center. All tires are removed from
the short side of the wheel. Before the tire can be
removed a portion of the bead must be in the drop
center; this allows the opposite side bead to be moved
over the outside flange of the rim.
Note: The wheel on the right has a typical short side,
however, the wheel on the left has an extended short
side that makes this tire very difficult to install or
remove. Take time when mounting or demounting the
top tire bead.
3. The back tire bead is also loosened first at the
valve stem.
4. Only allow the bead loosener to push the bead
over the safety bump on the rim.
5. To prevent wheel slippage, always outside clamp
this wheel.
