11. BROWSE to where the FMWLOAD installer put
the USB driver to use with the Serial Loader (example
c:\Program Files\FMWLOAD\USB_Driver as the loca-
tion. Your location may be different.).
12. Select the FDTIBUS.INF file then click OPEN.
13. Windows finds the driver for your Serial Loader.
Click NEXT to install your USB driver.
14. Repeat the USB driver installation steps, but this
time select the FDTIPORT.INF file then click OPEN.
15. When you return to the Found New Hardware
Wizard, click OK.
If you are running Windows ® XP (service
pack 2)…
16. A screen appears saying that your system has
detected new hardware. Then the Found New
Hardware Wizard screen appears. Select “No, not at
this time” and then click NEXT to continue.
17. Select “Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced)” then click NEXT.
18. Select “Search for the best driver in these loca-
tions.” and check both check boxes. BROWSE to the
location where the FMWLOAD installer put the USB
driver to use with the Serial Loader device. (example
c:\Program Files\FMWLOAD\USB_Driver as the loca-
tion. Your location may be different.)
19. Select the FDTIBUS.INF file then click OPEN.
20. Windows finds the driver for your Serial Loader.
Click NEXT to install your USB driver.
21. Repeat the USB driver installation steps, but this
time select the FDTIPORT.INF file then click OPEN.
22. When you return to the Found New Hardware
Wizard, click OK.
