The Remote Access control panel appears.

Click the Registered User button.

In the Name text box, type the name your ISP assigned to you.

In the Password text box, type the password your ISP assigned to you.

Select the Save Password checkbox.

In the Number text box, type the phone number of your ISP.

Choose Modem from the Remote Access menu (or the PPP menu if you’re using
Mac OS 8.1).

The Modem control panel appears.

Choose the port to which your modem is connected from the “Connect via” pop-up menu.

Choose the name of your modem from the Modem pop-up menu.
