Storing Numbers
Storing One Touch Dial
Numbers

For FAX, press Function , 6 , 1 .
For MFC, press Function , 1 , 6 , 1 .

Press the One Touch key where you
want to store the number.

Enter a number (up to 20 digits) and
press
Set .

Enter a name (or leave it blank) and
press
Set .

Press or to select FAX, TEL, or
FAX/TEL and press Set .

Press Stop .
Storing Speed Dial Numbers

For FAX, press Function , 6 , 2 .
For MFC, press Function , 1 , 6 , 2 .

Enter a two-digit Speed Dial number
and press
Set .

Enter a number (up to 20 digits) and
press
Set .

Enter a name (or leave it blank) and
press
Set .

Press or to select FAX, TEL, or
FAX/TEL and press Set .

Press Stop .

Pick up the handset—OR—Press
Hook and listen for a dial tone.

When you hear the dial tone, press
the One Touch key of the location
you want to call—OR—Press
Search/Speed Dial , press # , then
press the two-digit Speed Dial
number. (If you pressed
Hook to
dial, pick up the handset when the
other party answers.

To hang up, replace the handset.
Search/Speed Dial

Press Search/Speed Dial , then
enter the first letter of the name
you’re looking for.

Press or to search the memory.

When the name is displayed, lift the
handset—OR—Press
Hook .

Press Start to dial. (If you pressed
Hook to dial, pick up the handset
when the other party answers.)

To hang up, replace the handset.
Making Copies
Making a Single Copy

Place the original face down in the
ADF.

Press Copy , then wait for five
seconds—OR—Press Copy again.
Sorting Multiple Copies
1
Place the original face down in the
ADF.

Press Copy .

Use the dial pad to enter the number
of copies you want (up to 99).

Wait five seconds—OR—Press
Copy .
5
Press or to select SORT (or
STACK).

Press Copy .
