Appendix 7 Enterprise Association
When some faults occur in the server, the faults can be informed to each of the managers of Compaq
Insight Manager (XE), OpenView and Tivoli.
Notice If you use this function, keep the following conditions.
- The HEW Agent is needed in a MAGNIA Server.
If the HEW Agent is not installed, install it.
- You need to specify the sending address of Trap of SNMP.
Specify the IP address of the machine where Compaq Insight Manager (XE), OpenView or Tivoli
manager is installed, as a sending address of Trap.
- Refer to each User's Guide for the operation of each manager.
- If you use this function in the Compaq Insight Manager (XE) or OpenView, specify the IP address
of the machine where each manager is installed, as a SNMP Trap sending address.
- If you use Tivoli, install EndPoint.
- For two files for Tivoli, if a Trap file for WindowsNT already exists, delete the formatted area for
WindowsNT, referring to the following, merge it to the existing file.
