Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem
is solved.

See the "Parts Listing" section in the Hardware Maintenance Manual to determine which components are
customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).

If an action step is preceded by “(Trained service technician only),” that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.

1. Check the power-supply LED

on the EasyLED diagnostics
panel (see “EasyLED
diagnostics panel” on page
17).

2. Replace the failing power

supply.

Redundancy has been lost
and is insufficient to continue
operation.

1. Check the LEDs for both

power supplies.

2. Follow the actions in

“Power-supply LEDs” on page
33.

Redundancy Cooling Zone 1 has

and is insufficient to continue
operation.

1. Make sure that the connector

on fan 1 and fan 4 (if
installed) is not damaged.

2. Make sure that the fan

connectors on the system
board are not damaged.

3. Make sure that the fan cage

is correctly installed.

4. Reseat the fan.

5. Replace the fan.

Redundancy Cooling Zone 2 has
been reduced.

Error

and is insufficient to continue

on fan 2 and fan 5 (if
installed) is not damaged.

2. Make sure that the fan
