Measuring Light: Metering
User Sets 1, 2, and 3 offer a choice of four metering
methods. (In User Set A, matrix metering is used).
The following options are available:

Meters whole frame; but

Best choice in most circumstances.

Viewing the Current Metering Setting
Current metering method is indicated by icons in the control panel or, moni-
tor or viewfinder.
At a setting of Spot AF Area the

) icon is displayed in the control
panel, and the (
) icon is displayed
in the monitor or viewfinder.
