Troubleshooting

Follow the guidelines in this section for testing and troubleshooting the
installation in the event a problem occurs.

1.

Verify that the PWR1 main power supply and PWR2 optional power
supply LEDs are green. If one of the LEDs is OFF, do the following:

Check to be sure that the power supply is securely connected to the
power outlet.

Check to be sure that the power supply is securely seated in the
chassis.

For a DC unit, check to be sure that the wires are connected to the
correct terminals.

2.

Reset the management module by pressing and holding either the Reset
button on the front of the PowerBlade PBC18 or on the management
module for about 1 second. The Status LED will flash once, after which
the management module is ready for use.

Caution
Using the Reset button will briefly interrupt network operations on 100
Mbps PowerBlade Series Modules.

3.

Check to be sure that the fans are operating. If a fan is not operating, it is
likely that a power supply has failed.

If you are still experiencing problems after testing and troubleshooting the
installation, contact Allied Telesyn Technical Support for assistance. Refer to
