Connecting the
Fiber Optic
Cables
To connect a fiber optic cable to an SFP transceiver installed in the AT-
GS950/48 Gigabit Ethernet Smart switch, perform the following procedure:
Note
If you plan to configure a redundant data path, make sure that the
Spanning Tree feature is enabled via the AT-S106 Management
Software before connecting the ethernet cables for your secondary
network connections.
1. Remove the dust plug from the SFP transceiver, as shown in
Figure 14.

2. Connect the fiber optic cable to the SFP port, as shown in Figure 15.
