TV Type
You can select the aspect ratio during playback on TV.

16:9 Select 16:9 to use the wide screen TV mode.
4:3 Select to use the standard 4:3 display aspect ratio.
• This function is available when the HD camcorder is connected to a TV.
• TV type is set to on automatically when an HDMI cable is connected, so this function is not operated.
Component Out
You can set the component video output to match the TV you have connected.

Auto
The video signals are output in the same format as the recorded file. Use this setting
only when connecting to an HDTV. When “Auto” is selected, an indicator does not
appear on the screen.

SD 480p
The recorded file is output in the 720x480p format. Select it when connecting to an
SD resolution TV that supports progressive scan.
SD 480i
The recorded file is output in the 720x480i format. Select when connecting to an SD
resolution TV that does not support progressive scan.
The OSD indicators for the Component Out setting are displayed only when the component cable is connected.
