Click Power/Thermal in the Server Management section of the HP Management pane.

The Power/Thermal page displays the following information:

Server tab

The Server tab appears automatically and displays the power status, 24 hour power history
information, alerts, and other power data as well as fan health status. It also has a link to Insight
Control power management if it is in the configuration.

Infrastructure tab

The Infrastructure tab displays power and thermal information for the enclosure.

NOTE:

The Infrastructure tab displays for blades only.

Viewing server networking information

To view information about a selected server:
1.

Select a server in the inventory tree.

2.

Click the HP Insight Software tab.

3.

Click Networking in the Server Management section of the HP Management pane.

NOTE:

This option is available in Virtual Connect environments only.

The Networking page displays the following information:

Configuration tab

The Configuration tab appears automatically and displays configuration data collected from the
Virtual Connect switch.

Diagram tab

The Diagram tab displays a block diagram of the end-to-end network from the VM to the external
switch (see

“Virtual Connect Network Diagram” (page 29)

).

If you move the cursor over a Virtual Connect Ethernet network, iSCSI network, or FC SAN,
the end-to-end network connection appears brighter; potential bottlenecks are indicated when
an information icon symbol is shown; you can modify bottleneck thresholds in the Configuration
tab.

If you move the cursor over the information bubbles, details about the network hardware and
status are displayed.

If you move the cursor over a Virtual Connect uplink port, details about the port and connection
status appear. For Ethernet uplink ports, a network traffic graph is included.

A solid line indicates a primary network connection, proportioned according to bandwidth;
the thicker the line, the greater the bandwidth.

A broken line indicates standby connections.

The switches in the network diagram are color-coded according to the colors of the switch
bays at the back of the enclosure.

The switch ports in the network diagram are displayed with icons that show the shape of the
port on the physical Virtual Connect switch.
