A Virtual machine events
Viewing virtual machine events
To view all events related to VMM, expand the Events
→Shared directory in the left pane of the HP
SIM console. Expand All Insight Control virtual machine management Events.
To view events for a particular virtual machine host or guest, click the host or guest in the HP SIM
console, and then click the Events tab. To view details about a specific event, click the Event Type
entry.
To view all completed HP SIM events, from the HP SIM toolbar, click Tasks and Logs
→View Task
Results.
To view all HP SIM scheduled tasks, click Tasks and Logs
→View All Scheduled Tasks.
NOTE: VMM Move operation for hyperV involves multiple sub tasks. The updates of these tasks
gets logged through the HP SIM UI and also displayed as same event with different progress
messages by VMM.
Insight Control virtual machine management events
Insight Control virtual machine management creates events in HP SIM. These events can be viewed
with all HP SIM events in the Events list.
The following table lists the events created by VMM components.
