Adding customized information
Using the HP Custom Data Manager
The HP Custom Data Manager (CDM) maintains user-specified text information on a per server
basis. It can store text information such as the warranty expiration, server memo, and server
location. The text information format is open to users, and the CDM allows you to view and input
the information.
NOTE: The CDM must be installed on each remote SCOM console. For more information, see
the appropriate installation documentation.
The CDM is a console task that launches from the HP Systems group and subgroups. It automatically
locates the Operations Manager host name from the Operations Manager registry with user
credentials. You need the proper access credentials to use this tool. The CDM communicates with
the Operations Manager SDK interface and enumerates all HP Windows systems in the domain.
