The most current documentation for workstation blades and other HP BladeSystem components is available
at the HP website

Installing workstation blade options
Before installing and initializing the workstation blade, install any workstation blade options such as an
additional processor, hard drive, or mezzanine card.
The optional Graphics Expansion Blade enables you to take the PCI Express ports that are routed to the
mezzanine slots and combine them into an x16 PCI Express bus that is used to connect to a PCI expander
port for graphics cards. Through this connection, your system provides the effective rendering of graphics.
The Graphics Expansion Blade comes connected to a WS460c Workstation Blade and can be installed only
in an odd-numbered bay.
Connecting to the network
To connect the HP BladeSystem to a network, each enclosure must be configured with network interconnect
devices to manage signals between the workstation blades and the external network.
