22 Requirements and overview of copy operations
CAUTION: If you use the Create Pair command, click Apply, and then select No Copy in the Copy Type
Setting pane, copy processing will not execute and the pair status becomes PAIR (NOCOPY) for Flex Copy
XP or PAIR for RAID Manager XP. Therefore, data in the P-VOL will not match data in the S-VOL. For more
information about creating copy pairs, see ” Copying data in an external LU to a local array volume ” on
page 40 and ” Copying data in the local array volume to an external LU ” on page 41.
CAUTION: If you create a copy pair using the Create Pair command and the No Copy option (the pair
status becomes PAIR (NOCOPY) for Flex Copy XP or PAIR for RAID Manager XP), and then use RAID
Manager XP to execute
Pairsplit
on that copy pair, copy processing will not execute at all and the pair
status becomes PSUS. Therefore, data in the P-VOL will not match data in the S-VOL.

Copy operations from Flex Copy XP (Command View XP or XP Remote Web
Console)
When external LU mapping finishes, you can set a copy pair from the Flex Copy XP pane and execute
copy processing. For more information, see ” Flex Copy XP copy operations ” on page 35.
