8. Connect the common end of the Mini-SAS Y-cable to the controller option.
9. Install the storage controller (" Controller options " on page 36 ).
10. Install the PCI riser cage (" Install the PCI/FlexibleLOM riser cage " on page 26 ).
11. Install the SFF hot-plug drive cage (" Install the hot-plug SFF drive cage " on page 17 ).
12. Connect the Mini-SAS Y-cable:
a. Connect the split ends of the Mini-SAS Y-cable to the drive backplane. Ensure that the labels on the
cable match the backplane connectors:
— HDD SAS 1 cable = Port 1
— HDD SAS 2 cable = Port 2
b. Connect the power cable to the backplane.
