Configure device menu
The items in the Resets submenu will clear all memory in the printer, while

Explanation
RESTORE FACTORY
SETTINGS
This item performs a simple reset and restores most of the factory (default) settings. This item
also clears the input buffer for the active I/O.
Resetting memory during a print job can result in data loss.
This item does not affect network settings stored on the HP Jetdirect print server (if installed).
CLEAR MAINTENANCE
MESSAGE
This item appears only after the
PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE
message displays.
OFF
: The
PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE
message will be cleared. If you do not replace the
printer maintenance kit, the
PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE
message will be displayed again
after approximately 17,500 pages.
The message should not be turned off unless the necessary printer maintenance has been
performed. If the required maintenance is not performed, printer performance will degrade.

POWERSAVE
This item allows the user to turn
POWERSAVE
ON and OFF. If
POWERSAVE
is OFF, the printer will
never enter PowerSave mode and no asterisk will appear next to any item when the user
enters the
POWERSAVE TIME
menu item. Default value for
POWERSAVE
is ON.
