Loading a code tape
The firmware for the SCSI bridge electronics can be upgraded by reading a Code Load Tape.
You are prompted to insert the tape. Do not disturb the unit's power until the end of the
procedure. The SCSI bridge electronics relocates some internal firmware, switches to the
Performance Display format, reads 64k and verifies the tape, rewinds the tape, rereads the
64k, programs the firmware, and unloads the tape when complete. You are not returned to the
menu system because this utility alters the RAM/ROM in a unrecoverable manner. A cold
reset occurs.
Note:
For this procedure, it is recommended that you first take the tape unit off-line and
then disconnect the SCSI cable from the rear connector of the tape unit.
