Steady green means a tape is loaded.
•
Fast flashing green means read or write operations are occurring.
3.2.2
The Media Caution LED (number 2 in Figure 7) is amber, indicating a fault condition:
•
Slow flashing amber indicates that the tape drive heads need to be cleaned or the tape
cartridge is wearing out.
•
Steady amber indicates a hard fault. The unit should be replaced. Call the HP Global
Customer Support Center.
