Identification of LCD items

Performance LCD Format
Upon receiving a
TEST UNIT READY
or
INQUIRY SCSI
command from the host, the LCD switches to
the Performance format which is the main operational format of the LCD. The top two lines of the LCD
always display the current SCSI command and the tape-capacity bar graph. The bottom two lines of the
display alternate between five performance/status items.

5.7.1 Current
Tape
Operation
The current SCSI command being executed appears on the top line of the LCD. Typical
commands shown are
Read, Write, WrtFMK, Rewind, Space,
and so on.

Additionally, off-line utilities use this area to display tape-drive errors. The SCSI
Request
Sense
command provides information about an error.
