Flashing lights
The lights on the HP All-in-One flash in special sequences to inform you about various
error conditions. Refer to the following table for information on solving your error condition
based on which lights are on or blinking on the HP All-in-One.

Off Off Off Both off The HP All-in-One is
turned off. Press the On button
to turn the HP All-in-
One on.
Blinking Off Off 1 On,
1 Off The HP All-in-One is
processing a job,
such as print, scan,
copy, or alignment. Wait for the HP All-in-
One to finish.
Blink faster
for 3
seconds
and then
On Off Off 1 On,
1 Off The HP All-in-One is
busy. Wait for the HP All-in-
One to finish.
Blink for 20
seconds
and then
On Off Off 1 On,
1 Off Scan was pressed,
and there was no
response from the
computer. Make sure the
computer is turned
on, the HP All-in-One
software is installed,
and the computer is
connected to the
HP All-in-One with a
USB cable.
On Blinking Off 1 On,
1 Off The HP All-in-One is
out of paper. Load paper and press
the Resume button,
which is located next
to the Check Paper
and Check Print
Cartridge lights on the
control panel.
The HP All-in-One
has a paper jam. Clear the paper jam,
and press the
Resume button,
which is located next
to the Check Paper
