Product Overview
Mid-Range Library Media Manager (MLMM) is a product that allows SL500 tape
libraries and LTO Gen 3 (M8504) Fibre Channel tape drives to run unattended labeled
backups and restores, and it allows manual interaction with a graphical user interface
(GUI).
It can communicate with an Integrity NonStop NS-series system via TCP/IP. With
MLMM, you can schedule backups, label tape cartridges, import or export (enter and
eject) tape cartridges to and from the tape library, and load or unload tape drives.
The Mid-Range Library Media Manager software requires HP NonStop labeled tape
cartridges. In addition to being labeled magnetically, each tape cartridge must have a
special external label that displays the volume ID in both a standard OCR format and a
bar code.
