Example 7
PROBLEM:
When I startup MLMM, it tells me I am on a backup system and that it not true...
SOLUTION:
Two things can cause this:
1. During the initial CONFIG, somebody put a space for the CONFIG_ALTSYS#.
Stop MLMM, delete the TSIMMSDT file if it exists, issue a 'RUN CONFIG' in your
MLMM subvolume, enter CONFIG_ALTSYS# and just hit enter.
2. Security of the RLSEID file will now allow access so MLMM can read it. Make sure
you are running MLMM as SUPER.SUPER.
Example 8
PROBLEM:
When I startup MLMM, nothing starts and I receive an error stating "Validate System"
and some codes...
SOLUTION:
MLMM reads the RLSEID file on the current SYSnn subvolume to get the system
number to compare itself to. If for some reason it can't open that file, then this error will
appear. The main cause for this is a security issue on your NonStop system. You will
need to PROGID the TSIMLMMS0 file (and the TSIMLMMC0 per system on any Client
MLMM's) and make sure SUPER.SUPER owns the programs. Then issue the two
following commands: 'FUP GIVE TSIMLMMS0,255,255' and 'FUP SECURE
TSIMLMMS0,,PROGID'. Then start MLMM, the programs will now run as
SUPER.SUPER.
