Troubleshooting Examples for MLMM
Example 1
PROBLEM:
Why does only TSIMLMMS0 start and the other MLMM processes don't?
SOLUTION:
This could be an MLMM configuration issue concerning the HOME TERM. Issue a
'RUN CONFIG' from the subvolume that the MLMM Server and/or Client is installed in.
Once the password is entered, issue a 'VIEW_CONFIG' to see if the HOME TERM is
configured. If not, configure the HOME TERM as instructed in Section 3 of this
manual. The HOME TERM can be any valid terminal. On the NonStop system, it is
recommended to use $ZHOME.
Example 2
PROBLEM:
Why does TSIMLMMS2 crash upon startup?
SOLUTION:
If the SCSI ID of the library [should be SCSI ID 5 is not the same as the NonStop
definition then this will happen. Reconfigure the library with the correct SCSI ID
number [SCSI ID 5].
Example 3
PROBLEM:
Why does TSIMLMMS3 die when I start MLMM?
SOLUTION:
Normally, this will happen if the ZTSSOBJ file was not downloaded as part of the
MLMM install. Download the ZTSSOBJ file using the FTP function in the GUI to the
proper MLMM subvolume, then restart MLMM.
