Making double-sided copies
The copy module has several options for using both sides of the
originals to make copies on one or both sides of the copy media.
All of the following options are available by pressing
TWO-SIDED
on
the touch panel display and following the instructions on the screen:

2-SIDED mode: Make a double-sided copy from single-sided
originals.
! 2

2-SIDED mode: Makes double-sided copies from a
double-sided original. (Requires the optional ADF.)
! 2

1-SIDED mode: Makes single-sided copies from a
double-sided original.
! BOOK 2

2-SIDED mode: Makes double-sided copies from a
book or magazine.
The copy quantity must be 1 when using 1

2-SIDED, 2
̈
2-SIDED,
and BOOK 2

2-SIDED modes. You can make multiple double-sided
copies by repeating the procedures for each of the double-sided
copying modes.
Note The screen that appears in the touch panel display varies depending
on any optional accessories that are attached.
The double-sided copy modes described in this section cannot be
used with the following modes:
! Two-page Separation
! Image Combination
! Image Separation
! Multi-page Enlargement
