Installing Service Pack for ProLiant
SPP contains sets of drivers and firmwares for the latest ProLiant Gen8 destination servers to get it
updated after the migration
•
For Windows X2P migrations, upload the SPP you plan to use on the Upload Drivers tab of
the server migration UI and it will be automatically installed at the end of Windows X2P
migration. You can also manually install Windows SPP after server migration
NOTE: Before installing SPP on the destination server, ensure that the server has a minimum
disk space of 1 GB.
NOTE:
◦ An iLO Advanced license should be installed on the destination server before starting an
automatic SPP installation.
◦ Uploading HP SPP ISO of size greater than 4GB (2GB in case of Internet Explorer 8 or
earlier) is not supported. In such cases, you can make iso's available for post migration
by copying the iso to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Insight Control server
migration\webserver\webapps\smpui\HPSPP

◦ You can upload one or more Service Pack for Proliant (HP SPP) here. These will be
available while performing X2P Windows migration, when selecting additional migration
options in Step 6 of the wizard.

For Linux X2P migrations, you must manually apply the Linux SPP to the destination server after
the migration is complete.
