Setting Up Remote Copy

1.

Install and configure Remote Copy. For more information, see the HP 3PAR Remote Copy
Software User’s Guide.

NOTE:

Be sure to configure the Remote Copy backup server with the same names, structure,

and Windows authentication mode settings as the primary server.

2.

After you have set up Remote Copy on two HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage Systems, create a
Remote Copy volume group for testing purposes.

3.

Configure the Remote Copy volume group for synchronization in synchronous mode or in
asynchronous periodic mode with a period value of zero.
