HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Microsoft SQL Server Command Line
Interface (CLI)
HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Microsoft SQL Server provides a Command Line Interface
(CLI). The CLI allows users to manage Recovery Manager functionality using commands rather than
the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
Use this CLI command:
To do the following:
HpRmCli Sql create
Create virtual copies
HpRmCli Sql remove
Remove unmounted virtual copies
HpRmCli Sql mount
Mount virtual copies
HpRmCli Sql unmount
Unmount virtual copies
HpRmCli Sql backup
Backup virtual copies to media using Symantec NetBackup,
HP Data Protector or Symantec Backup Exec
HpRmCli Sql restore
Restore from virtual copies
HpRmCli Sql display
Display virtual copies currently in the repository
HpRmCli Sql listbackup
List backup entries currently in the backup pool
HpRmCli Sql deletebackup
Delete backup entries currently in the backup pool
HpRmCli Sql repository
Query and change repository location
HpRmCli Sql portconfig
Query and change the port location
HpRmCli Sql timeconfig
Change the wait time for backup, volume restore, and
analysis
HpRmCli Sql report
Gather the environmental statistics and create a log file for
diagnosis
HpRmCli Sql analyze
Analyze and synchronize the volumes in the HP 3PAR
StoreServ Storage System and the virtual copies in the
repository
HpRmCli Sql policy
Set Recovery Manager policies
HpRmCli Sql rescan
Scan the SQL server for any changes
HpRmCli Sql setvc
Set policy for specified virtual copy
NOTE:
The previous syntax for Recovery Manager commands is supported for backward
compatibility. The previous syntax is as follows:
RmSql
NOTE:
Only NetBIOS names must be used while specifying values for any server type like
production server, backup server, mount server, target server, media server, or master server.
