Unused time periods:
Set the ON and OFF times of unused periods to the same value
(e.g. On: 6:00, Off: 6:00).
2.10 Calibrate the Scales.
The scale must be calibrated regularly. To ensure the accuracy of the scale,
we recommend checking the scale's accuracy between each flock.
• Select the "8. Installation" menu from the main menu then press the
right-arrow key. Note that this menu is only accessible from the
installer mode.
• Press the down arrow key three times to select the "4. Scale Calibr."
Menu then press the right-arrow key. The scale's calibration weight
flashes on the display.
• Select the proper scale then press the right-arrow key. The scale's
calibration weight flashes on the display.
• Set the calibration weight to the desired value using the adjustment
buttons. Once this is done, press the down-arrow key.
• Make sure the scale is stable and empty then press the down-arrow key
to select the "Scale is:" menu. Press the "+ " key . The message
"Laden" is then displayed. Put the calibration weight on the scale and
wait until the scale becomes stable again. It is recommended using a
precision weight of 10 pounds.
• Once the scale is stable again, save the calibration by pressing the "+ "
key again. The message "Saved" is displayed during 2 seconds then the
display shows the message "Empty" once again. The scale calibration
is now over.
2.11 Enable Each Scale Separately
Once the parameters are all set, scales must be activated to start operating.
By default all scales are disabled; this allows adjusting the different
parameters before starting the system.
Empty house:
Disabling the scales is useful to stop the weighing process while
the house is empty or before birds are allowed in an area where a
second or third scale platform maybe.
• Use the arrow keys to select the desired scale from the main menu then
press the right arrow key.
• Press the down arrow key four times to select the "5. On/Off" menu
then press the right-arrow key. The current status of the scale is
displayed.
• Press + to activate the scale or press - to deactivate it.
