cotter pin through the second and smaller opening in each of the suspension rods,
then bend the longer leg of the cotter pin to the side. The pilot assembly should be
aligned with the burner unit assembly, when facing the gas valve.

5. Insert thermostat bulb through one retaining clamp, then through the holes provided

in the gas valve bracket as shown in Fig. 5. Place the other retaining clamp over end
of the thermostat bulb.

6. Insert thermocouple into holes in pilot bracket, push through hole until held in place

by springs. See Figure 6. Take the opposite end of the thermocouple and thread into
the gas valve’s thermocouple port. See illustration on previous page.

Gas Tubing Assembly

1. Refer to Figure 6 for gas tube assembly.
2. Thread orifice into lower portion of the burner. Use caution to keep the orifice

bracket from becoming misaligned while tightening the orifice. Misalignment will
cause poor operation.

illustration on previous page for location of gas outlet port), slide the brass nut and
ferrule over the gas tubing, insert the tubing into the brass fitting, and tighten the
brass nut.

4. Remove the brass nut and ferrule from orifice. Slide brass nut and ferrule over the

gas tubing, insert the tubing into the orifice, and tighten the brass nut.

5. Loosen brass fitting that is threaded into pilot outlet of the gas valve. Insert pilot

tubing into brass fitting, then tighten.

6. Remove ferrule and compression fitting from pilot.
7. Slide ferrule and compression fitting onto tubing.
