Figure 1 above shows the components in the blower motor assembly. Make sure that each component
goes on the shaft in the order shown.
1. Disconnect electrical power to the heater and shut off gas supply.
2. Open the Side-Swinging door and find the motor.
3. Disconnect the wires to the motor.
4. Make match marks on the motor mounting plate and the blower housing. This is to make sure the
assembly can be replaced in the same alignment as it is currently installed.
5. Remove the blower motor assembly by removing the (ten) 1/4 inch screws from the motor mounting
plate. (Note: For easier removal of blower assembly, leave one screw on the top row for last.)
6. Remove blower wheel using the 1/8 inch allen wrench.
